Decoding the Setup for YouTube shorts Advertising on DV360
Shorts is best if you would want to drive some B2C ecommerce, make users install apps, etc. For the objective of “Brand awareness and reach,” the default is the CPM buying model. You can opt in and out of formats, choosing from three options, including the possibility of selecting Shorts exclusively.
If the objective is “product and brand consideration,” the default is the CPV buying model. In this case, there is no option to choose formats. You must upload the video or asset, and the ad will be displayed based on available inventory and compatibility constraints.
Considering goals and objectives:
While VTR is a distant KPI, in-feed is cost-effective, with CPMs significantly lower than instream. It is suitable for broad reach and alternative types of engagement. In-feeds, however, does not provide click data and lacks an option for adding a click tracker.
